Display Option, Infocode
This field indicates which display option the infocode uses to display its description and/or selection
options and receive input from the user. The options are:
Empty - No specific option defined or infocode is not displayed.
Lookup - The normal POS lookup form is used.
Pop-up - The POS Pop-up form is used. It supports group structure, income/expense lookup,
mix & match lookup, variant lookup, cross-selling, item modifiers, hospitality menu types and BOM ingredient listing.
Number Pad - The Number Pad input window is used to receive numeric input.
Alphabetic Pad - The Alphabetic Pad window is used to receive text input.
The Type of the Infocode determines the Display Option:
- Infocodes of type Selection can be displayed in two ways:
- In the POS Lookup window - the codes appear in a table and the user selects an Up-Down arrow to scroll to the appropriate code.
- In the POS Pop-up window – the codes appear as buttons, the user selects the appropriate code directly.
- Infocodes of type Group must use a POS Pop-up window.
- Infocodes of the type Numeric Input and Text Input can be displayed on a numeric keypad and on an alphabetic keypad, letting the user easily enter input on the POS.
For more information see the Infocode table.
