How to: Set Up LS Recommend Calculation Limit

LS Recommend is charged based on the Microsoft Azure usage. You can set a limit on the monthly calculation to prevent excessive usage.

To set up LS Recommend calculation limit

  1. Click the icon, enter LS Recommend Setup, and select the relevant link.
  2. On the LS Recommend Setup page, navigate to the Calculation FastTab, the Usage Monitoring section
  3. Fill in the relevant fields:
Field Description
Monthly Calculation Limit This field specifies the number of calculations allowed for the current month. One unit of LS Recommend calculation is equivalent to a sales transaction for the items sold in the POS terminals included in the batch calculation.

When a scheduled recommendation calculation is initiated, the LS Recommend Engine will estimate the number of calculations for the current run, and then compare the estimated value in addition to the current month usage against this limit setup. If the monthly limit is overrun and Exceeds Limit Block Calc. is selected, system will block the calculation.

Warning Threshold % This field specifies the threshold percentage that will trigger a warning, when the Current Month Usage % hits or exceeds the threshold during recommendation calculation. If the recommendation calculation is triggered manually, a confirmation with warning will be prompted before proceeding with the calculation. If the recommendation calculation is triggered via Scheduler, the warning will be logged into the LS Recommend Calculation Logs.
Current Month Usage % This field shows the usage percentage based on the number of calculations for the current month and the Monthly Calculation Limit.
Exceeds Limit Block Calc. This check box specifies if the system should block recommendation calculation when the Current Month Usage % hits or exceeds 100%. This applies to both manual and scheduled recommendation calculation.

The LS Replenishment Role Center contains the Current Usage % and the Calculation Balance tiles under LS Recommend - Usage Monitoring. These tiles provide a good overview that shows if the monthly usage is already above the warning threshold or has exceeded the calculation limit.
