How to: Create Item Modifier

Item modifiers have certain setup options that are important for maximum and minimum selection, triggering and so on.

Infocodes are used for item modifiers.

You link the selection codes of the item modifier to specific items. You can also create text and time modifiers.

Once you have created item, text and time modifiers, you can assign them to retail items, product groups, or item categories. You can also group them together in an item modifier group.

To create item modifiers

1. Click the icon, enter Item Modifier List, and select the relevant link.
2. Click the New action to create a new item modifier.
3. For filling in the fields on the page, refer to Setup Options for Item Modifiers.
4. In the Item Modifier Selection Subcodes section, create a new line.
5. Enter a code in the Line Code field (01 for example).
6. In the Item No. field, select the item you want as modifier. See Creating Infocodes with Selection for more information on how to fill in the fields.
7. Repeat for more items.

Note: When you select items in the POS Pop-up window that require a serial number, lot number, or a variant, the system lets you to enter this information at selection time. The system lets you enter (or scan) the serial or lot number via an alphabetic pad with possible lookup. For the variant, the program opens another POS Pop-up window to display the variant codes for the item and lets you to select one.
