How to: View and Set Up KPIs

LS Retail provides the Actionable Insights Base Pack by default. A newly added KPI Pack has the default status of Run Initialize and after the KPI Pack has been initialized, all KPIs belonging to the pack, together with their KPI Families and KPI Groups, will be createdautomatically in the system.   1. Click the icon, enter Actionable Insights KPI Families, and select the relevant link.
  2. To edit KPI Families, you need to have the Actionable Insights administrator rights which you can configure on the Actionable Insights User Setup page.
  3. The Display Sort Order field indicates the displaying order of the KPI Families on the Actionable Insights KPI Overview page, as well as the Alert Overview charts in the Action Hub. KPI Families with a lower Display Sort Order will be displayed first.
  4. You can activate or deactivate a KPI Family using the Active field. The system will activate or deactivate all the KPI Groups and KPIs belonging to this KPI Family accordingly.
  5. You can view the KPI Groups that are assigned to a KPI Family by clicking its No. of KPI Groups field.

To view and set up KPI Groups

  1. Click the icon, enter Actionable Insights KPI Groups, and select the relevant link.
  2. To edit KPI Groups, you need to have the Actionable Insights administrator rights which you can configure on the Actionable Insights User Setup page.
  3. The Display Sort Order field indicates the displaying order of the KPI Groups on the Actionable Insights KPI Overview page, as well as in the Alert Overview charts in the Action Hub. KPI Groups with a lower Display Sort Order will be displayed first. The chart elements will be first sorted according to the KPI Families and followed by the KPI Groups' Display Sort Order.
  4. You can activate or deactivate a KPI Group using the Active field. The system will activate or deactivate all the KPIs belonging to this KPI Group accordingly. If all KPI Groups within a KPI Family have been deactivated, the system will automatically deactivate the KPI Family. The same logic is applied for activation.
  5. You can view the KPIs that are assigned to a KPI Group by clicking its No. of KPIs field.

  1. Click the icon, enter Actionable Insights KPIs, and select the relevant link.
  2. Select a KPI in the list, and click Edit. To edit KPIs, you need to have the Actionable Insights administrator rights which you can configure on the Actionable Insights User Setup page.
  3. The Display Sort Order field indicates the displaying order of the KPIs on the Actionable Insights KPI Overview page, as well as in the Alert Overview charts in the Action Hub. KPIs with a lower Display Sort Order will be displayed first. The chart elements will be sorted first according to the KPI Families, followed by the KPI Groups, and lastly, the KPIs' Display Sort Order.
  4. You can activate or deactivate a KPI using the Active field. If all KPIs within a KPI Group have been deactivated, the system will automatically deactivate the KPI Group. The same logic is applied for activation.
  5. The Impact Score Base Value field shows the impact score that will be assigned to the raised alerts. In addition, in the Action Hub, you can configure the Alert History chart to display either the No. of Alerts or the total Impact Score.
  6. In the KPI Value Labels FastTab, you can see which KPI values will be calculated during the Signals calculation. The values can be of type Decimal, Boolean, Date, Time, or Duration. You can change the labels of the KPI values. The labels along with the calculated KPI values are displayed on the Actionable Insights Signal Card.
  7. In the Additional Data Group and Filter Labels FastTab, you can see the additional dimensions that can be used for grouping and filtering during the Signals calculation. You can change the labels of the additional dimensions. The default dimensions as well as the additional dimensions are displayed on the Actionable Insights Signal Card. This FastTab is only visible for KPIs that are using the additional dimensions.

For KPIs that offer one or more data group and filter options, you can control which options are allowed using the Actionable Insights KPI Setup page:

  1. From the Actionable Insights KPI Card, click KPI Setup to open the Actionable Insights KPI Setup page.
  2. The Data Group Options FastTab shows which grouping options are available. You can activate or deactivate any grouping option. The options you have selected will be visible and configurable on the Actionable Insights Calculation Rule Card for all Calculation Rules created for this KPI. During the Signals calculation, the system will group the source data according to the settings of the Calculation Rules.
  3. The Filter Options FastTab shows which filtering options are available. You can activate or deactivate any filtering option. The options you have selected will be visible and configurable on the Actionable Insights Calculation Rule Card for all Calculation Rules created for this KPI. During the Signals calculation, the system will filter the source data according to the settings of the Calculation Rules.
