Drawer alert can be used to notify the POS user that the drawer is open. You can configure the drawer alert on the POS Drawer Card in LS Central.
To set up a drawer alert
- Open the POS Drawer Card that is in use, and turn Drawer Alert if Open on.
- In the Drawer Open Text field you can add the text message that will be displayed on the POS when the drawer is open.
There are two options for the Drawer Alert Type field:
- Poll - A message is displayed at the top of the POS to warn the user that the drawer is open. Use the Drawer Alert Timeout field to adjust the length of time the message is displayed. If the timeout is set to 0 seconds, the alert is shown until the user closes the drawer.
- Block - The POS is completely blocked while the drawer is open, and the POS cannot be used until the drawer has been closed.
