How to: Create a Text Modifier

Text modifiers are predefined texts that are set up in advance to go with certain kinds of items, and are assigned to these items in the same way as item modifiers.

Infocodes are used for time modifiers.

Once you have created text modifiers, you can assign them to retail items, product groups, or item categories. You can also group them together in an item modifier group.

To create text modifiers

1. Click the icon, enter Item Modifier List, and select the relevant link.
2. Click the New action to create a new item modifier.
3. For filling in the fields on the page, refer to Setup Options for Text Modifiers.
4. On the Item Modifier Selection Subcodes FastTab, create a new line.
5. Enter a code in the Line Code field (01 for example).
6. In the Description field, enter text to describe the modifier.
7. Repeat for more text options.
