Transferring Orders When Bill Has Been Printed

Normally, when you transfer to an occupied dining table, the lines you select for transferring are combined with the active order on the table.

However, if the bill has been printed either for the order on the dining table you are transferring from or transferring to, the lines are either combined with the active order or the order is moved as a whole to the dining table.

It can be easy for the staff to manipulate the bill by transferring certain lines to another transaction after the bill has been printed while the customer pays for all the lines according to the printed bill. By setup you can allow a transfer as a whole, or allow partial transfer where you can transfer just a part of the order and combine with the other order. You can also not allow any transferring after the bill has been printed.

Note: You can never transfer a transaction that has been paid but is not served to an occupied table. The table must be free.

The Hospitality Type Card contains the setup for the transfer restrictions on bill printed orders. There is a setup for staff with manager privileges and non-manager privileges.

The following table explains the flow for either a manager or a non-manager, depending on the selection in the fields.

Transfer Restrictions

Bill has been printed for the Order transferred from

Partial Transfer: Allowed Move Whole Transaction: Allowed	If Partial transfer is Allowed, the order will be transferred partially and you can choose to transfer all the lines of the order or just a part of them. The lines are combined with an active order, if any.
Partial Transfer: On confirmation Move Whole Transaction: Allowed	The system displays a confirmation window. If you choose not to do a partial transfer, another confirmation window is displayed and you can choose to move the whole transaction or cancel.
Partial Transfer: Not Allowed Move Whole Transaction: Allowed	The system displays a confirmation window. You can choose to move the whole transaction or cancel.
Partial Transfer: Not Allowed Move Whole Transaction: Not Allowed	Transfer after bill is printed is not allowed.

Bill has been printed for the Order transferred to

Partial Transfer: Allowed	Partial Transfer is allowed and the order lines to transfer will combined with the bill printed transaction.
Partial Transfer: On Confirmation	The system displays a confirmation window. If you choose not to combine the order lines with the bill printed transaction, another confirmation window is displayed and you can choose to move the whole transaction or cancel.
Partial Transfer: Not Allowed	The system displays a confirmation window. You can choose to move the whole transaction or cancel.

Note: If Partial Transfer, Mgr. or Non-Mgr. is allowed, the field Adding Items after Bill Print cannot be Not Allowed.
