How to: Transfer a Bar Order to the Restaurant

A Bar hospitality type can be set up using dining tables or just an order list. In the first and second example below, the bar is set up with dining tables like the bar in S0005. In the third and fourth example the bar orders are shown in a list. There is no set up for this in the demo data.

Note: The order lines always retain their original sales type no matter where they are transferred to.

Note: These examples show how to transfer a complete order. To transfer specific items, instead of pressing Transfer All, transfer specific lines in the Transfer panel before selecting Transfer.

Transferring a Bar Order (Dining Table)

1. Transfer to a Free Restaurant Dining Table (Cover is Required)

  1. Select to view the BAR hospitality type.
  2. Press a dining table that already has an order (bill not printed and not paid).
  3. Press Transfer on the pop-up menu.
  4. Select to view the Restaurant hospitality type.
  5. Press a free dining table to transfer to.
  6. Press Transfer on the pop-up menu.
  7. On the Transfer panel, you can press Transf. Guest +/- to increase the cover on the dining table. If you do not, the system will prompt you for cover when you press Transfer All.
  8. Press Transfer All.

The order has been transferred to the free restaurant dining table.

2. Transfer to an Occupied Restaurant Dining Table (Cover is Required)

  1. Select to view the BAR hospitality type.
  2. Press a dining table that already has an order (bill not printed and not paid).
  3. Press Transfer on the pop-up menu.
  4. Select to view the Restaurant hospitality type.
  5. Press an occupied dining table to transfer to.
  6. Press Transfer on the pop-up menu.
  7. On the Transfer panel, press Transfer All.

The order has been combined with the order on the restaurant dining table.

3. Transfer to a Free Restaurant Dining Table (Cover is Required)

  1. Select to view the BAR hospitality type (the view shows a list of open orders).
  2. Press the line with the order you want to transfer.
  3. Press Transfer on the function menu (if not there, transferring is not possible).
  4. Select to view the Restaurant hospitality type.
  5. Press a free dining table to transfer to.
  6. Press Transfer on the pop-up menu.
  7. On the Transfer panel, you can press Transf. Guest +/- to increase the cover on the dining table. If you do not, the system will prompt you for cover when you press Transfer All.
  8. Press Transfer All.

The order has been transferred to the free restaurant dining table.

4. Transfer to an Occupied Restaurant Dining Table (Cover is Required)

  1. Select to view the BAR hospitality type (the view shows a list of open orders).
  2. Press the line with the order you want to transfer.
  3. Press Transfer on the function menu (if not there, transferring is not possible).
  4. Select to view the Restaurant hospitality type.
  5. Press an occupied dining table to transfer to.
