Synchronized Timing vs. Display on Adding

You have two basic ways of displaying your items on the KDS (display stations, not printer stations):

  • Each KOT has synchronized timing for its items - on sending new items to the KDS, the system creates a new KOT. The items in the KOT are displayed in the order of the longest production time on top to the shortest production time at the bottom of the display. The items appear gray until they should be started in order to be ready at the same time as all the items in the KOT. If the staff increases the quantity of an item in the order that has been sent to the KDS, the system adds the item to a new KOT with the quantity that was increased.
