Starting Over in LS Hospitality – Resetting KDS Tables and Information

When you are starting up your system after a test period, and want to go back to the beginning where all KDS related tables and related information are empty and dining tables are free, you can use a function to do this for you.

To reset the KDS related tables and information within LS Hospitality:

Important: You must finish all POS transactions in the company by finalizing or voiding before you run this function.

  1. Go to the Kitchen Service Configuration page.
  2. Click Actions, then click Reset KDS Related Tables and Info.
  3. Confirm the question.

You must also delete the data used by the Kitchen Service Program. On the machine running the Kitchen Service program, follow these steps:

  1. Stop the service LSKitchenService, if it is running.
  2. Delete all folders that include data for the kitchen orders (by default, folders are located in C:\ProgramData\LS Retail\Kitchen).
    Note: Do not delete the file KitchenServiceConfig.
  3. Start the LSKitchenService again.
