Display stations for kitchen displays can be of the display station types Expeditor or Preparation station. The bump bar operations are the same for either type, but there is a minor difference in how they work since we usually have chits on expeditor station and line orders on the preparation station.
The following table explains the bump bar operations:

The first order line is bumped, regardless of which is the active order line. After the operation, the active order line is automatically the top order line. |

| Recall

The system recalls the last bumped chit. If the user keeps on pressing the button, the system will recall the chits according to its bumping order. Order lines for recalled chits are not sent on the related prepare stations. Max number of chits to recall is 20. |

Note: For recall there is no synchronization between the stations, meaning that recalling a chit its items are not recalled automatically to their related preparation stations and recalling an item does not recall its respective chit.
