How to: Send Comments to the Kitchen
The waiting staff can send comments to the kitchen regarding an order or guest preferences.
The program sends the comment (the preset text (the command parameter) or what has been typed in) for the selected order to the kitchen via KOTs. Note: An un-served KOT must exist for the comment to be sent.
-
For display stations: The comment appears on all chit displays on the KOTs associated with the order.
-
For printer stations marked as showing KOT comments (the value in the Show KOT Comment field is Yes: The KOTs associated with the order are printed again with the comment at the top of the printout.
Each comment can be 100 characters long and is registered for the KOT as a whole. The comments appear in a section in the Coursing Overview panel. They can also be viewed from the KOTs page:
- To view the KOT comments, click the icon, enter KOTs, and select the relevant link.
- Select the relevant KOT.
- Click the KOT action, then click KOT Comments.
