Setting Up Time Schedules

Time schedule divides a day into periods.

A time schedule with the Schedule Type Dining Hours

Each period is defined by the time it starts (Time From) and the time it ends (Time To).

  • A period can start at the exact time another period ends.
  • A period can start before midnight and end after midnight.
  • Periods cannot overlap

A Dining Hours period

  • can be assigned a dining duration code that the program uses to estimate for how long a dining table will be occupied. The dining duration can vary according to number of guests involved. The Dining Area specifies the default dining duration if the period has no dining duration assigned.
  • can specify a reservation interval. It determines the slots in minutes that are available for dining reservations. The Dining Area specifies the default reservation interval if it is not set for the period.

To set up a time schedule

  1. Go to the Time Schedules page.
  2. Click the New action, and insert a new time schedule with an ID and description.

Refer to tooltips on the page for more information.
