Work Shift Setup

The Work Shift Setup table contains the defined work shifts for each store. Work shifts are used to collect transactions that belong to one statement. You can define up to 9 work shifts for a 24 hour period. Work shifts cannot overlap each other, but you can have one work shift overlap days.

It is not necessary to set up work shifts if the Closing Method of the store is Date and Time.

If you use the closing method Shift, each staff member must use his or her ID and the relevant work shift number when logging on into the POS Terminal. The program then creates one open Work Shift RBO for that particular date, for each work shift setup that has been set up in the store. It also opens a Work Shift Entry.

The store Statement is limited to just one work shift if you use the Shift closing method to close a store. Therefore, if you have three work shifts set up in a store, you need to create three statements every day.
